I had the privilege of collaborating with musician Mike Santos for the second time.
For his album “Let The Good Times Roll”, the goal was to visually translate a journey of hope, resilience, and the relentless drive to provide for one’s family.

The Concept
A visual synthesis of rugged, arid landscapes and advanced, speculative technology.
The composition depicts the delicate balance between the heavy, tactile nature of the past and the high-speed aspirations of the future. It captures a moment of transition: emerging from the shadows of the present and racing toward the brilliant light of a new day.

The Hybrid Machine
The vehicle is a chimera—part classical carriage, part futuristic engine. Note the large cooling fan on the front: a mechanical device creating a sense of "artificial velocity," symbolizing our desire to appear faster and more dynamic than we actually are.
The Precious Cargo
The driver never travels alone. Safely tucked inside the carriage are symbols of his "why." A Chess Queen and a Matryoshka doll represent his wife, honoring her dual role as both partner and mother. Beside them, a child’s hand holding a balloon symbolizes his daughter. He carries his whole world with him.
The Silent Guardian
A small, ethereal entity runs alongside the machine, lighting candles to illuminate the path. These candles, melting at different rates, mark the true, slow passage of time.
This figure represents a divine presence—constantly lighting the way, even when unnoticed by the driver.

The Atmosphere
Set in a canyon desert at daybreak, the scene uses a monochromatic warm palette to evoke heat and intensity. The characters are captured in a dynamic "Dutch Angle" and low-angle shot (contra-plongée), emphasizing the grandeur of their mission as they leave the darkness behind to face the rising sun.
