I’m Brão Barbosa, an illustrator and motion designer based in São Paulo, Brazil. I create images with a strong sense of story, timing, and personality. Sometimes they move. Sometimes they make people pause.

My background in product design and art direction helps me think beyond the individual image and consider how each visual choice works as part of a larger experience.

Over more than 20 years, I’ve worked with companies and agencies on projects for brands such as Microsoft, SAP, Spotify, Amazon, Prime Video, Snapchat, and many others. That range has taught me how to move between different formats and audiences without losing the character of the work.

I was born and raised in Minas Gerais, and I still carry with me the warmth and friendliness I associate with life in the countryside. Brazilian culture, comics, and the cartoons I grew up watching in the 1980s and ’90s all find their way into my work. I’ve also published comics of my own, giving me another space to explore storytelling, pacing, and visual expression. I’m drawn to expressive ideas and thoughtful details, especially when they add warmth or an unexpected twist to a complex brief.
